THE BLAST's Winning Streak MH

WINNIE'S PEDIGREE (CLICK HERE)

WinnieWinnie is that once in lifetime dog that is a pure joy to train! She always comes out of the truck ready to give 110%!! From the beginning I knew Winnie was going to be something special! As a puppy, she was super intense and intelligent, doing things that were way above the level of an average pup.

Her trainability can easily be described by the fact that she had an AKC Senior Hunt Test pass at 7 months 3 weeks old. She earned her first AKC Master pass at just over a year old and went on to achieve her MH title at just over 2 years old. She qualified and passed at the AKC Master National in 2013 and 2014. If she passes the AKC Master National in 2015, she will earn the title of Master National Hunter (MNH) at 4 1/2 years old. She has earned a 3rd and a Jam out of the 3 Field Trial Qualifying events she has run. Winnie is a pin point marker with intense focus and runs blinds as hard as marks! There is no cheating in her. Winnie will cut water like no other, plow through cover or clear any obstacle in her way to stay on the true line to the bird. Winnie has an intense, accurate style that is fascinating to watch, earning fans everywhere I take her!

Winnie's upland career is equally impressive! Winnie ran her first upland bird dog tournament at 4 1/2 months old! From the beginning, we could tell she had an amazing nose. Winnie has an incredible ability to quarter a field wide open with lightning speed and turn on a dime into the scent cone to put the bird up. I have seen Winnie wind birds 50 yards away on a great scenting conditions day. Winnie is an incredible tracker on running roosters. Winnie has tracked roosters a whole length of a field to put the bird up at the end of the row. This is a quality that is hard to come by in a flushing dog. At 8 months old, Winnie won 2 UFTA qualifying tournaments against dogs of all ages in heat exceeding 80 degrees. At 13 months old, she won the UFTA Doubles National Quail Championship in Alabama in 2012, then placed 3rd in the BDC National Championship in the open class 3 weeks later. She went on to be the Wisconsin Series "Puppy of the Year" and was the BDC "Puppy of Year" against all dogs in the nation under 2 years old. She has qualified for the BDC National and World Championships 4 years running. She made the singles finals in 2012 and the doubles finals in 2013 and 2014 for the BDC Upland World Championships, which was broadcasted on the Sportsman's Channel and the Pursuit Channel as well as MAV TV. She is my go to guide dog at the number one Upland Corporate Hunt Club in Wisconsin. Many times when people request a guide at the Hunt Club, they don't ask for me, they ask for, "the guy who has that Winnie dog."

As a companion, Winnie is the best dog I have ever owned. She will go to extreme lengths to please you and has an excellent "Off" switch in the house. You don't even know she is in the house.

Pups from Winnie's litter last year have AKC Senior Hunter Titles by the age of 1 year old along with upland wins. Winnie was bred to FC AFC Hardscrabble's Powder My Buns in 2013 and FC AFC HRCH Taylorlab's Downtown Dusty Brown MH in 2014. These pups will be able to play any retriever game at the top level; therefore, I prefer Winnie pups go to competitive or hard hunting homes.

Volt's Perfect Ten At The Bell MH

BELLA'S PEDIGREE (CLICK HERE)

BellaBella holds a special place in my heart as she was the first dog I took from an 8 week old puppy to an AKC Master Hunter. Bella showed uncanny bird sense from the beginning. As a puppy, she had great intelligence and always had her thinking cap on. Because of Bella's birth date we focused in the beginning on upland. Bella was force fetched and ran her first upland tournament at 6 months of age at the end of the season.

Bella's trainabillity was amazing for the knowledge I had at the time. She was forgiving and willing to work with me, when, at times, I have to admit I didn't know what I was doing. Throughout Bella's training we would always come to some crossroads that made me have to improve as a trainer. Bella didn't always understand the conventional way of training, which helped me think outside the box. Bella went 4 for 4 in her Junior hunt tests, achieving her title by the age of 9 months old. After that, we moved on to Seniors where she eventually earned her title. Bella was the first dog I walked to the line with in an AKC Master Test. I can still remember how nervous I was. She failed that test, but it taught me what I needed to do as a trainer to get her to the next level. Soon, Bella and I grew together and passed our first Master Test. One Master pass felt like I had just earned my title!! It was a special moment. Bella went on to earn her Master title and qualify for the 2013 Master National. At the Master National in 2013, Bella ran near flawlessly and lined two of the blinds throughout the week. I was super proud of her! If I had to only take one dog on a duck or goose hunt, it would be Bella. She is a sensational Duck Dog. She has never broke in a duck blind or hunt test, for that matter. She sits quietly, watches the sky naturally, marks hunting falls extremely accurately, and runs hunting blinds with extreme accuracy. I have had some phenomenal duck hunts with Bella at my side and never have lost a bird.

Bella, on the upland side of the fence, has had an uncanny ability to find birds from the beginning. Bella lives to upland hunt!! She ran her first upland tournament at 6 months old!  Bella started her guiding career at Wisconsin's Premier Corporate Hunt Club, Milford Hills, at 11 months old and had more birds over head that season than most dogs do in their lifetime. From the beginning, Bella would run with a head high style and her nose to the wind. I have seen Bella wind birds near 50 yards on the right scenting day. She is a relentless hunter and would rather die than get put back in the box to end the hunt.

Bella started her upland bird dog tournament career in the Wisconsin Series Puppy Division at 13 months old. She won the first three events of the season, a Wisconsin all time record for the most consecutive puppy wins in one season, which earned her Reserve Champion "Puppy Of The Year" for the 2010-11 Wisconsin Series season. That same year she won the Badgerland Upland Bird Dog Series "Dog of The Year" award as the youngest dog entered throughout the season. The summer of 2011, Bella ran limited UFTA qualifying events, accumulating 3 wins and multiple placements to make her the 2011 UFTA Flushing Dog of the Year over 96 of the best quail dogs in the country, earning herself an automatic bid to the finals at the 2012 UFTA Nationals. At the nationals, Bella took a 4th in the singles and 3rd in the doubles behind our Winnie, who won it. That same year Bella won a BDC Major event with my best friend and handler, Tim Samelstad. 2014 would be the mark of a great year for Bella. Bella went 4 for 4 in Master tests to qualify for the Master National. In October, Bella entered the 2014 BDC World Championships, finding her way to the singles finals beating dogs throughout the week in 80 degree heat. She earned a 4th place and her way to be broadcasted in two of the episodes on the Pursuit Channel. In December 2014, Bella won the Top Guns Championship BDC Super Major with handler, Tim Samelstad. A prideful moment was when her son, Drake, owned by Dan Steingraber, won the puppy division in the same weekend!

At home Bella is a pleasure to have around. She is a great house dog, wonderful with kids, and loves everyone. She is the type of dog that anyone could handle at a Hunt Test, in a duck blind, upland hunting or upland tournament hunting.
